Apple Valley Liquor Carding Policies
- Age Requirement: You must be 21 years of age or older to enter any Apple Valley Liquor location (children with parents exempt).
- ID Verification: A valid ID is required for all purchases. We card everyone, so please have your ID ready at checkout.
- Group Policy: All persons in a group (2 or more) must have a valid ID, or everyone will be refused service (children with parents exempt).
- Scanning Process: We scan IDs for age verification and validity. No personal information is gathered or saved; the process simply verifies that the ID is legal and has not been tampered with.

Proof of age for purchasing or consuming alcoholic beverages may be established only by one of the following SIX categories:
- A valid Minnesota driver’s license, “Enhanced” driver’s license, or identification card issued by the state of Minnesota, another state, or a province of Canada, and including the photograph and date of birth of the licensed person.
- A Same-Day driver’s license or I.D. card issued by the state of Minnesota.
- A valid active military I.D. with photo issued by the US Department of Defense.
- A valid passport issued by the United States or a foreign country.
- A valid Minnesota Tribal I.D. Card, which includes a photo, date of birth and expiration date.
- A valid instructional permit with photo and birthdate.
